General Rules/Guidelines

1. Follow the spelunker’s motto of “Take nothing but photographs, leave nothing but footprints.”
2. Do not use pesticides, traps, chemicals or other ways to kill animals, insects or plants that do not pose an immediate threat to your life or health. If you use an insecticide, put in on yourself, do not spray the area around the camp.
3. This is “organic” land and we don’t want any chemicals sprayed on the vegetation.
4. Wild animals live on the property. They are not to be hunted or killed.
5. You may catch fish from the river. However, either eat them or let them go.
6. You may use tree limbs for firewood, but do not cut any trees down without land owners permission.
7. Put out all fires.
8. The water is not potable (i.e. don’t drink it without proper treatment first).
9. Enter and use the property at your own risk.
10. No dogs will be allowed on this trip.

You could die having fun!

You voluntarily assume the risk of serious injury or death by attending this event and release burnabout from any claim arising from this risk. You must bring shelter and first aid to survive for two days in this environment. Commercial vending is prohibited, as are all firearms, fireworks, rockets, and other explosives. You agree to read and abide by ALL rules in this site and to follow federal, state and local laws. This is a LEAVE NO TRACE, pack it in, pack it out event. Donations are nonrefundable in the event you do not attend. Burnabout reserves the right to deny admittance to anyone for any reason.

We are a community. We: participate, leave no trace, never let it hit the ground, pitch in and help each other, contribute, communicate, and don’t interfere with anyone else’s experience.
